Color Lab Technician – 1st Shift

Summary:
The Lab Technician will provide a wide variety of routine and non-routine activities in support of Spectro Coats Color Lab. The technician must be capable of working independently or in concert with other team members and leaders in the preparation of lab samples used in the course of the color matching process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that proper safety attitudes, procedures and housekeeping are maintained on all work programs and conducts work in a manner that protects self, co-workers, the environment and safety of the community.
  • Completes established targets with minimal supervision required.
  • Performs test to generate and collect data to meet internal requirements of the lab for consistent results.
  • Analyze and reports results independently. Communicates results in a timely manner to laboratory personnel to permit them to meet scheduled commitments.
  • Participates in evaluation and presentation of results in formal and informal atmosphere and makes recommendations when appropriate.
  • Works effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Maintains laboratory equipment in orderly and clean condition.

Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Mathematical coursework is required.
  • Previous lab experienced is preferred.

Functional & Technical Skills:

  • Must be open and flexible and demonstrate both attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work with a variety of internal customers.
  • Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment.
